I'm Not a Bit Surprised

"More people in Scotland go to swinger's parties than take regular exercise".

Radio Scotland this morning..

Who ARE these people?!

[identity profile] ianmcdonald.livejournal.com 2006-07-06 08:39 am (UTC)(link)
and are they therefore lardy?

Ha! I match your M&C icon with one of my own!

Now, if James D'Arcy were at a swingers' party in Scotland, I would SO go to that.

The guy in the icon. He played one of the officers. I have Thoughts about him. ;D

I was wondering about that, after all sex can BE regular exercise (and recreational drugs tend to the thinning..)

[identity profile] surliminal.livejournal.com 2006-07-06 08:41 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I know one. Sort of.

[identity profile] pigeonhed.livejournal.com 2006-07-06 01:20 pm (UTC)(link)
You know someone who takes regular exercise?

[identity profile] thishardenedarm.livejournal.com 2006-07-06 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
rumours of my swinging have been greatly exaggerated. mostly by me.

Is this because everyone in Scotland is a swinger, or because none of them take exercise?

I am amused by the whole thing, while not feeling that any of it is really my business.

[identity profile] surliminal.livejournal.com 2006-07-06 09:27 am (UTC)(link)
I laughed out loud!

Also didn't swingers die out in the 70s? It's all polyamory nowadays doncha know.. Scotland stuck in the past as usual!

> didn't swingers die out in the 70s

Actually no. There are a lot of people who call themselves swingers and not poly. I've heard that the difference is that swinging is something that couples do, and it is about sex - not relationships or love, but of course that isnt true 100% of the time.

Not that I know anything about it, no.

(Yes, I know you were making a joke :-)

[identity profile] alexmc.livejournal.com 2006-07-06 09:28 am (UTC)(link)
Wouldnt a swinger's party be classed as exercise?

[identity profile] nmg.livejournal.com 2006-07-06 09:46 am (UTC)(link)
Damn, beat me to it...

[identity profile] alexmc.livejournal.com 2006-07-06 09:50 am (UTC)(link)
Actually looking back at earier comments I think someone beat *me* to it as well.

And that isnt a bdsm joke.
