It struck me in yesterday's class on cyber crime that the easy way to Enslave the World is to put up a very popular video on You Tube (say, um a kitten and an iBook, with extra 300 macro)which contains a Trojan virus. Is this possible? andrewducker says no, but I ask Youuuuuss.

Lots happening, and mostly too tired/busy to write. Finnish BBQ on Saturday was ace - Eeva and I now proud co-owners of sparkly red BBQ and 3 red deckchairs. Sun shone, beer drunk and ridiculously large Finnish sausages gobbled (I scaredly stuck to Waitrose chicken and burgers.) It didn't hail and no one got food poisoning. I call that a result.

Been to gym and actually done Real Exercise (treadmill, running, stairmaster, bike) as oposed to just swimming and have been knackered since! Oh Dear..

purelyskindeep has enrolled me in the homeward stretch of the pallyrally en route back from my gigs in Barcelona and Alicante. I'm really quite excited about this as it'll take me through some of my fave parts of the world (Narbonne, the Canal du Midi, Carcassonne) and some places I've never ever been (Toulouse, Pau, Bilbao).

Off to London today to meet cool DDOS geeks in the Lowlander, my new Favourite Pub - then overnight at bohemiancoast's, ISPA meeting, and if not completely dead, may go on to BSFA meeting and see some of you??

Then I have an Actual Social Weekend in Soton, of Belgian beer tasting Friday, dinner at Loch Fyne in Winchester on Saturday and Jeremy Hardy on Sunday! Cor!

childhood obesity sucks

THis story hit the papers at the weekend and there's been some discussion of it at hfnuala's LJ, based (unfortunately, I think) on the rather addled version from the Metro. I read it in the Observer and assume the Guardian story is basically the same.
