Is it coincidental that Cliff Richard's mega positive publicity with da kids for finally almost-sorta-not-quite coming out (and supporting gay marriage) has effectively obliterated any public memory of him by his potential buyers as the meanie who has done his little bit for copyright maximalism by supporting copyright term extension even after the UK's own govt appointed review (Gowers) came out against it as completely counter-operational to the public interest? Worth recalling as the EU gets its teeth into bringing it on anyway (also against the advice of *their* own commissioned research)..
Also: JK Rowling fucked up privacy law already - and now she gets to do the same to copyright law! Harry P couldn't have done better as a new broom..
