Real time drama
Sep. 18th, 2008 01:53 amNo, not HBOS. Wondering what this all meant for my entire lifetime savings snugly in IF offset mortgage paled into insignificance beside this..
I just had a terrible shock - for some reason they've put up scaffolding all over my tenement building today.. and now the cats are back in Edinburgh, and inside in my first floor flat, having been outside with garden for two years, they spend a *lot* of time on my kitchen outside ledge which is wide enough to nap on.. anyway today I noticed Java on window sill outside wailing inexplicable and looked DOWN.. and realised there was scaffolding within easy cat-jumping range with planked walkway beneath -- but v precarious with aching gaps.. oh god!!!
Ran back into flat and called for Cookie. No Cookie. No Cookie ANYWHERE. Where was she? Flattened on the ground below? AWOL after a quick Steve McQueen dash from scafolding to walkway to ground, another flat, what??
I was just about to put clothes on again and go oput searching for escapee when I found her.. behind a curtain all along. Pah. That Java winding me up..
So I guess they're really trapped inside for the duration now - cos I won't dare leave that window open again unattended .. . Poor kitties! Grr to scaffolding!
