Have succumbed like a lot of us I suspect to mass buying on Amazon post Orbital. Interesting discoveries: Drinking Sapphire Wine only available for £47. eek! But more amusingly - look up China Mieville and the "sponsored links " are for Air China...

Apparently she used to read SF when she was younger, and I found it on the bookshelf. Probably the first SF I ever read.

That will be the Claidi diaries, of which the first is, I think, Law of the Wolf Tower. They're very good.
