Good Things
May. 19th, 2006 02:00 pm... for Friday
I have two days official holiday on Mon Tues I had completely forgoten about (weird Ed Uni holidays!) and rather than just come in and work ANYWAY (which was automatic first thought) I have dragooned Mater into coming over to go shopping with me on Tues, and have lunch at Harvey Nicks as Long Planned. (Anyone got anything fun on on the Monday?
lee_lou2?)
I drove past a sign at Tollcross that read "NB Apartments" (pointing left). Well, what ELSE would I expect in a built up area??: -)
I have rediscovered
thishardenedarm
There's a new Gotan Project album out! Plokta Pi has Paul Cornell coming!! *swoons*
My gymn has finally got a new yoga class arranged. And on a Thursday not a Tuesday so it doesn't clash with pub quiz any more either :-) Went last night and though it's Iyengar and hence (a) too fussy about getting poses exactly right (b) too fussy about using equipment, for my liking, at least it's a class.. today I ache. It's incredible how easy yoga feels at the time and how tired you feel later.. I miss the nice trad yoga bit at the end though, which this guy did not do. Oh we had "relaxation" and some mumbling about clearing thoughts out your head (naturally I immdiately thought about children's hearings, avatar rights and Dr Who) but he didn't chant anything in Hindi or tell us our vagina was one with the universe and full of rose petals. Oddly I missed it - I find this sort of stuff strangely soothing.
Going to see film with Best Pal @ weekend: I want to see Brick but she wants to see just about anything else. What do you guys recommend?
[Poll #731970]
And now I am going to stop prevaricating and FINISH THIS SODDING BOOK TODAY OR ELSE.
