Why Mobile Phones are the Cigarettes of the 21st Century
I certainly identify with the "fidgetting with them while waiting for buses/plumbers/doctors" syndrome.. (but then, I 've never smoked!)
I had one - ONE- glass of wine at lunch and now feel too tired to get anything done! Pah, what a lightweight.. Lunch was fairly nice; the local Very Posh PLace (The Tower, for locals ) does a cheap (relatively - £11) set lunch, so 4 of us went - and yes, the food is very nice - but the service is that desperately over-attentive way where you starve to death while waiting for them successively to bring round napkins, water, butter, bread, wine list, menus, wine, and finally finally finally take the food order .. I experimented with pork loin which I'd never voluntarily order normally - the sorta Jewish thingy stops me ordering hunks of pig stuf normally - and lo, it ws ver' nice, with split pea puree - ummm - sort of upmarket houmous. Strange, but pleasant.
I've had some email that may or may not herald large amounts of change. V, what's my stars say, huh?!
End of week 1 and even tho I've only taught c 2 hours or so, I'm wrecked. How will I cope with next week!!! I did get lots of work done on my Ebay questionnaire though, so thanks guys, for being an unknowing mini-pilot!
