... well, Soton. Not quite sure where home is these days..
Post America, post stress, and post various celebrations, I am Very Fat. But I do not feel like depriving myself. So I have a plan - which is to eat for a week out of Nigel Slater but mainly fish and vegetable main meals. I have even, and inspired by Boheminacoast :), made a shopping list and it does indeed look rather different than suual - fish, vegetables, fruit, herbs and the odd new potato. If I cut doen on the butter and oive oil that has got to be good for me and sounds really nice.
I have in fact pretty much been eating fish since Edinburgh - scallops and halibut on Thurs at the external examiner's lunch, moules frites avev Boheminafamily at their nice little local restaurant. In summer, fish just seesm the right thing to do - I just have to make the transition from choosing it when out to cooking it at home. I am hampered by lack of decent local fishmonger - I guess i will have to swallow my price and pay Waitrose prices :(
It is now gloriously warm when sun comes out and all my instincts say to go to the pool. But I'mnnot meant to be swimming so as not to hurt my knee! bah!!
