Dreidl Texas HoldEm poker.

We have SOOO got to do this! maybe after Twilight?

And take pix while Guy is wearing the "I Love Computers" yamulkah I got him from Israel :-))

In connected news, gluhwein at the Xmas market is still ace - especially blackberry with added schnapps - and the new The Day The Earth Stood Still is UTTER pants!! You get some idea if i tell you Keanu is the best thing about it, honest guv!

Have spent rest of evening addressing Xmas cards and sending emails to pals in US, Oz, Germany, Israel etc etc. Today I likes this Interwebby thing:)

In yet other news, so far even if I manage to see Twilight, Mamma Mia and Dark Knight by end 2009, I'll still only have seen 40 films all year. Pretty bad for a former 52filmchallenge finisher!! Wonder if I could find another 12 films I could bear to see  for the first time in next two weeks!

[livejournal.com profile] brisingamen has been having an interesting discussion about whether people would prefer to live in (for personal reasons) 1985 or 2008: which has spawned an interesting meme.

"So, here, finally, is your meme ... which year of your own life would you revisit, if you could? That perfect year, or that year where something clicked, something changed, the world was never quite the same again, something meaningful. I'm just curious, or fascinated, with the way people think about their lives. Humour me."

Domestic day of moderate win, but, arg, I feel shattered! COF!!

On the first day of Xmas my true love gave to me/a sprocket in a bathroom tree )

But strangest of all was coming home to find a plumber crawling in through the kitchen window.. and I live on the first floor...well ok, he did knock first. Y'see they're finally taking the scaffolding down round Viewforth Towers (YAY) but at the same time downstairs neighbours is complaining of mysterious flooding from my flat to hers (Boo). Many acrimonious and confusing phone calls later, yet more plumbers are coming back tomorrow to try to find the leak. This is the FOURTH deputation of plumbers. I suggested they called in Inspector Morse..

I'm going to collapse now!

Oh, a quick poll - I heard people on Radio 4 today waxing lyrical about how everyone's sending e-cards this year and that's why the Royal Mail is going bust. Leaving aside the fact that the mail clearly make a fortune out of online shopping at Xmas nowadays, does anyone REALLY only send e-cards? maybe abroad, but to ordinary folk?? They're just not the same, are they? Hell even the Plokta people send real cards!!!
