What it says on the tin. God, that drive from Sheffield to Edinburgh  is about two hours too long for me. Especially when you only got three hours sleep as you couldn't sleep till 6am (truely)  and didn't leave till 12 cos it was so hard to corrall both cats, and those last two hours are in the sleepy, scarey, dark, with intermittent hail. Still, the first three hours were in glorious sunshine,  so it's a game of two halves I suppose, and I lucked on a very nice quasi service-station off the A1 (M) where I bought A Interesting Present for accordingly ., tee hee!.

What DIDN'T HELP was Cookie howling to be let out the entire way (Java, on drugs, was a darling by compare) and SCRATCHING HER WAY OUT HER BASKET , REALLY, while i was driving at 90 mph round Newcastle on the A1 - thank god, there was a layby pretty much immediately so I pulled in, had the heart attack and then manhandled her back into basket (she'd peed in it, poor thing - i cleaned it up first and you could hardly blame her...)

My god,  the incredibly hot guest team captain on <I>Never Mind The Buzzcocks</I> last week is now on HIGNFY!! And it's Mark Watson, it appears. Cor. Why did I never go see him at the Edfestfringe?? He's the spit of the (equally hot) Ben Moor. Maybe they're the same person?

Gordon Ramsay's looking rather good tonight too, in his black shirt - and then there was Paterson Joseph on Tuesday who I am *definitely* developing a crush on. Please god let him be the next Dr Who. I wasn't keen on there being a black Dr Who just, well, because - Dr Who is an ICON not a demographic representative. But after two eps of Survivors I've realised he's perfect - that necessary combo of warmth and authority with a tiny hint of menace. Like your favourite teacher or uncle, only, not. Also, um, incredibly hot :)

Do you think I've been absorbing too many remedial cat pheromones by accident?? There are at least 2 other people I fancy right now who aren't even on Tv, which is, um, about two more than usual :-P

Oh god I'm so glad to be home. Even though there's no heating, and who knows what the heaters the council has left (electric not gas) are costing.

Tomorrow: buy pressies for Little Niece, iron things, unpack, repack for Israel/London/Sheffield, meet`Ailsa, go to fabby wine tasting thing.  Get incredibly early plane on Sunday. I must be mad.

Oh goody the spider that paid the gas bill is on HIGNFY. .I love that story.
