Oh poo poot poodle pants
Apr. 30th, 2006 09:48 pmWent to the Jekyll and Hyde with
andrewducker to meet up with
whotheheckami and
sarah_mum, plus pals of theirs, to go to Beltane: 'cept I , who works within 5 mins of every outlet selling tickets, had sort of failed to get one in advance.. so Andy very nobly queued up with me until the police came along and said it had sold out...
POOOOT. Does not seem very pagan somehow. Can whole hill be full? And now I'll not get to see Sharon-from-work dressed only in loin cloth and blue body paint!!! Oh well I'll just have to watch Green Wing instead!!!!
(To make self feel better: achievements of weekend: framed and hung pictures that have been around since over a year ago; tidied rest of spare bedroom and threw junk out, so room now conceivably fit for renters as well as cats; saw Wes Anderson's The Squid and the Whale (tho extremely well done, rather miserable, not comedy-as-advertised, not recommended as date movie, get The Life Acquatic out on DVD instead!), went to Cramond for picnic, but couldn't walk out to the island as the causeway was under water; saw Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds in Glasgow on Friday (with Justin Hayward loooking like the botox definitely working well for him!) and enjoyed it but was not blown away; it's been a "yes but" kinda weekend, hasn't it. POOT!)
