Since no one else has mentioned it, I may as well - does ayone else think it odd that although Timothy Dalton, Bond minus-2, played Lord Asriel (of Pullman fame) in the National Theatre production, it is Daniel Craig (Bond du jour)who has been signed up for the film of The Golden Compass ? (pah - americuhnised names..)
Ever since seeing Pullman lecture at Lexicon, I have been convinced that Lord Asriel is in fact his ego transposed to the page. I wonder if this means Pullman secretly fancies himself as 007??
In other news I have actually been to work, and though completely shattered, feel like I can almost breathe. Thank the lord, or at least Day Nurse :)
