Yes, I'm another who first encountered "tesseract" from A Wrinkle in Time. I've been thinking it's about time I re-read my collection of her books, too.

Heinlein taught me tesseract (I think it was the short story "And He Built a Crooked House') I was a huge Heinlein goober as a teenager.
