Looking for a nice place to eat, near Liverpool St stn, on a Sunday night, preferably not a chain.

Is this possible?? The Sunday is tomorrow so some urgency..

Used to be a regular stop when BSFA meetings were at the pub next to Liverpool St.

Call first. It's smashing, but I am not sure if it's open on Sunday.

In fact, most of Liverpool St is closed on Sunday. You'd possibly be better off on Brick Lane, in which case I recommend Bengal Village very highly.

There are also upmarket chains around Spitalfields if you don't fancy curry.

Brick Lane is near Liverpool St, with approx 12,000 curry restaurants.

Well, Brick Lane's close by, and a good bet if you like Indian/Bangladeshi food, but Liverpool Street itself is completely dead at the weekend and I doubt anywhere will be open.

Spitalfields lies between the two, and you might find some places open on Sunday...

Well, St John Bread & Wine, which someone else has mentioned, and we just had a jolly nice meal actually right in the Spitz, making me feel guilty for always eating elsewhere in Spitalfields. Where there are loads of nice places.

Of course, there's Moshi Moshi Sushi actually in Liverpool Street station.

easy -walk to Brick Lane and select the cheapo curry of your choice. I have a soft spot for the New Benghal at number twelve.
