This American tourist found a few days spent in York marvelous, and far too short. The Disneyland-like ride in the Historical Exhibit was surprisingly good, and quite close to the Cathedral that is (*Ghasp*) more than a hundred years old (by a factor larger than I can comprehend). And, in the cloister, there was a set of youngsters practicing an interestingly Yorkish flavour of Morris-dancing. Some good Pubs were nearby, as well (including one that didn't permit smoking, IIRC). I'd like to spend at least a few weeks there, sometime.
