Are business people really that shallow?

Come to think of it, of course they are.

It's not just the private sector. When I used to attend meetings at the Ministry of Defence, it seemed that the standard plate of biscuits always comprised exactly the same assortment (the MOD must have bought a vast job lot of them), invariably including exactly one Jammy Dodger.

It was an unwritten but unshakeable rule that it went to the meeting chairman.

Now that is the kind of detail people wouldn't believe in fiction:)#

I absolutely agree with it btw - I always know we're talking serious money when I get WRAPPED biscuits (y know, like yoyos).

In BERR we have excellent biscuits. And if we're meeting someone important, we have pastries.

One of our partners used to have a tantrum if someone took his Jammy Dodger . We got him his own packet and he shut up.
