Rare public service announcement - stopping junk snail mail

Despite the fact I've been teaching of its existence for years, I'd never actually got round to registering for the Mail Preference Register until today. It's online, it's streamlined and afterwards you won't get about 90% of the junk mail that currently comes through your door. Which is good for the environment as well as your sanity.

As someone now deluged with junk not just for self but also for 3 ex tenants(!) I recommend it heartily!

Thanks for the link. Ive been meaning to do that for ages too (its not the paper mail, which can be recycled, its the plastic packaging that's the real nuisance). And the phone service.

Also worth registering with TPS to stop the spam calls too.

Controlling your real-world spam is just as satisfying as controlling your electronic spam!

There actually wasn't any limit last time I was on the site. I noted three prople who used to live here and still recieved junk here and I haven't had anything since for them.
