Good night. Really enjoyed the film. No, *no* irony intended. It's like a ripoff of the good bits of Buffy season 2 and 3 only without a hint of feminism/female empowerment or S and M. That doesn't sound v positive but what is left is still dead watchable (sic). Some very nice cinematography of the relentless clouds of Washington State too. ("Where else would you live if you were a vampire after all?" "Scotland?") Oh GOD though does the Edward of Twilight look like the very young Angel of Bufy season 1! Nostalgia:-) I may do the deconstruction rant on it tomorrow when less pissed though :-) Meanwhile you can all disagree!!

Am restored to cheer after a day of consummate retail therapy - v successful visit to the shoe sales - I now have 2 pairs boots (black, burgundy) and 5, yes, 5 pair shoes ( 2 X purple!(1 court, 1 suede mocassins) , 1 brown, 1 green, 1 black), all for less than £200! I can justify this, really, as I basically currently live in 2 rather tired pairs of work shoes and 1 pair boots. And I reslly am the least obsessed with shoes person I know :-) Ruled out the Next and Wallis and DP sales as rubbish. Will do M and S and JL and maybe Debenhams tomorrow!

I also bought 3 rings - for £10. And they're gorgeous really! One purple, one gold, one silver-ish. From my fave studenty shop on Forest Row :-)
